Rang 4 - Science Week - Ice Hands - Which hand will melt first?

We had two ice hands. We wrapped one hand in paper, a scarf and a hat (Hand B). We did not wrap the other (Hand A). We left them for two hours. Hand A had melted a bit but Hand B didn’t. After another 2 hours Hand A had melted a lot. Hand B had melted a little. We concluded that to keep something cold you must insulate it. We also concluded that to keep something hot you must insulate it. We now understand we must wear our coats in winter to keep the heat in us!
