Developing curiosity
We believe that a holistic approach to education is imperative so that our students can develop a curiosity to successfully face the future. We take account of the needs of the whole child, academic, physical, spiritual and emotional.
We create lots of opportunities to promote the natural growth of children. We promote skills such as creativity, critical thinking, resilience and we aim to develop a curiosity that is integral to successful learning.
Our students have access to a range of programmes to support literacy, numeracy and personal development within the school. Some of these include:
Aistear
Literacy Lift Off
Building Bridges of Understanding
Mata sa Rang
Friends for Life
Stay Safe
Motor Skills Group
Social Skills Group

Embracing a revolution
In Scoil Chlochair Mhuire we believe in embracing a technological revolution that is transforming the way we learn and the way we work. The foundations for STEAM education begin in early childhood. From the earliest years through their play experiences and family environment, children engage with the world in ways that can promote learning related to Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Mathematics. Young children naturally engage in early STEAM exploration through hands-on multisensory and creative experiences. By engaging in these experiences, young children are developing curiosity, inquisitiveness, critical-thinking and problem-solving capacities which are built on through their school experience.
Young people must learn to apply their creativity, knowledge and skills across STEAM initiatives in Scoil Chlochair Mhuire:
VEX Robotics
Lego
Engineering-in-a-Box
Whizz Kids
