Nature, artefacts and more…

It’s been a busy and exciting time for Fifth Class! Among other things, we’ve been stretching our limits with gymnastics, we’ve been working on long division with decimals and we had the privilege of welcoming Jessica from the National Heritage Council. She showed us how to identify a tree type from a found twig, she shared fascinating stories about our native wildlife and brought along some amazing artefacts, including lichens, bird and wasp nests, ram, cow and otter skulls, preserved newts and even a bird’s spine! Nothing beats hands-on learning to bring these topics to life.
